- חָסִיד
- חָסִידm. (b. h.; חָסַד I) kind, God-fearing, submissive, pious, abstemious. Tem.15b כל היכא דאמר מעשה בח׳ אחדוכ׳ wherever we read (in Talmudic writings), ‘It is reported of a pious man, either R. Juda b. Baba it meant or Sot.III, 4 ח׳ שוטה a foolish saint. Ab. V, 10 שלי … ח׳ he who says, Mine is thine and thine is thine, is a ḥasid. Ib. 11; a. v. fr.Pl. חֲסִידִים.
